There are many conflicting challenges involved in optimal transfer of the signal between the power amplifier and the loudspeakers e.g. low impedance, large bandwidth, low interference, low external radiation, etc. Favouring one characteristic will impair another.
What can be said is that different types of wire have their effect on the sound, e.g. solid or flexible wires, exceptionally thick or thin wires, Litz cables (very thin insulated wire), flat cable, round cable, coaxial cables.
It is a bit of an art to find an optimum balance to realise the transport of the energy from the amplifier to the loudspeaker.
