Mains Cables
Experiments also showed that a mains cable has to be optimised for the power it conveys i.e. it should neither be overspecified nor underspecified. In other words, there should be neither under nor over capacity. A mains cable should sufficiently screen and suppress electromagnetic radiation, particularly important in an environment with digital equipment to prevent interference or noise from other equipment and its cabling.
This is especially important when cabling is in the vicinity of equipment with switch mode power supplies or spurious signals from household appliances.
We supply two specially designed mains cables.
Mains Cable MC 6
The MC 6 is intended as the mains cable for preamps, DAC´s, CD/DVD players, tuners and electrostatic speakers. Can be used up to a maximum of 6 Ampere.
Mains Cable MC 16
The MC 16 is intended as the mains cable for power amplifiers. Can be used up to a maximum of 16 Ampere.
All Mains Cables have a standard length of 1,5 meter (60”). Other lengths can be made to order. The IEC connector and the mains plug (country specific version) are from Oyaide and are of the highest quality and are palladium on gold plated.
